Ready for a peaceful day of history, culture, and seaside vibes? Join us on a relaxing day trip that combines the spiritual charm of Saint Catherine Monastery with the laid-back beauty of Dahab City—a perfect mix of soul and sunshine!
We start the day with an early pick-up from your hotel around 6:00 AM, driving through the beautiful Sinai Mountains to reach Saint Catherine Monastery, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world.
Built in the 6th century at the foot of Mount Sinai, this sacred site is believed to be where Moses saw the Burning Bush, and it has been a spiritual destination for pilgrims for over 1,400 years. Inside the monastery, you’ll visit:
• The Church of the Transfiguration, filled with ancient mosaics and icons
• The Chapel of the Burning Bush, built over the very site where Moses is said to have spoken to God
• The monastery’s library, which holds over 4,500 ancient manuscripts, second in importance only to the Vatican Library
• A stunning collection of Byzantine and early Christian icons—some of the oldest in the world
You’ll feel the deep spiritual atmosphere and rich history that make this place so special.
After the monastery visit, we’ll head to the peaceful coastal town of Dahab. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch by the sea, with views of the Gulf of Aqaba, and some time to explore the local shops and laid-back streets.
Before returning to Sharm, we make a final stop at a traditional Bedouin oils & herbs factory, where you can sample and shop for natural products, perfumes, and handmade gifts.
We return to Sharm El Sheikh around 3:00 PM, filled with new memories and stories to share!
